Amelia (Alvidrez) Palacios

Amelia Alvidrez Palacios, age 78, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at her residence.
A rosary will be held 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel recited by Cecilia Rivera.
Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Okonkwo officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Amelia was born on January 22, 1934 in Sierra Blanca, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She married Fidel Palacios in 1949. They lived in California for many years and moved back to Texas where she lived over 46 years.
She is survived by her son, Raymond Palacios and his wife Anne of California; two daughters, Lucy Palacios Bahrami of California and Cindy Camacho and Truitt Garcia of Sweetwater, Texas; grandchildren; Aaron Palacios and wife Tina, Bryant Bahrami, Dina Villa and husband Jerry, Emily Bahrami, Joshua Camacho, Sammy Ray Camacho & wife Elisa and Jason Blueford, and several great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleofas and Jesusita Alvidrez , husband, Fidel Palacios,daughter, Lydia Palacios, three sisters and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Truitt Garcia, Aaron Palacios, Sammy Ray Camacho, Joshua Camacho, Jason Blueford, and Jerry Villa.
