Andrea Melendrez, age 80, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Nolan Nursing and Rehab.
As per her wishes, her body was cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
A rosary will be held 5:30 P.M., Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Holy Spirit Parish (Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church).
Andrea was born on November 30, 1933 in Sweetwater, Texas to Jose and Angela (Rosas) Gomez. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish (Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church). She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Andres Melendrez of Sweetwater, Texas, daughter, Patricia Melendrez of Sweetwater, Texas, sister, Beatrice Gomez of Los Angeles, California, and two brothers, Ricardo Rubalcaba of Odessa, Texas, and Chevel Gomez of Los Angeles, California, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Angela Gomez, and two brothers, Elijio Rubalcaba and Elias Gomez.
