Anna Lee (Richard) Pattillo

March 8, 1931 — January 2, 2014

Anna Lee Pattillo, age 82, of Dalhart, Texas (Former resident of San Angelo,  Colorado City,  Hamlin and Sweetwater) , passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 in an Amarillo hospital.

Graveside  services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Clay Jacobson officiating.  Burial will follow.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 8 - 11 AM.

Anna Lee was born on March 8, 1931 in Sweetwater, Texas to Ray and Annie (McDonald) Richard.  She married William Pattillo in 1950 in Liberty, Texas.  She worked as a bookkeeper at Subeam Supermarket while going to business school and then  worked many years as a secretary, receptionist, and bookkeeper for her husband in his Chiropractic Business in Hamlin, and  San Angelo.  She was a faithful member of her church.  She had a church membership in  First Baptist Church in Dalhart, Hillcrest Baptist Church in San Angelo, and Immanuel Baptist Church in San Angelo, Texas, and First Baptist Church in Colorado City.  She was a dedicated Sunday School teacher who taught most of her adult life to all ages.  She loved her Lord and was a faithful servant.  She loved to listen to all music, especially the Gaithers, enjoyed holiday celebrations with her beloved family, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and watching birds, especially redbirds.  In her younger years, she participated in her community in several clubs and organizations.  She delighted in children and loved to talk with them.  In fact, Anna Lee and "Dr. Pat" kept several foster children for Buckner Baptist Children's Home in Lubbock for several years.  Anna Lee loved people and made friends easily and quickly everywhere she went, always showing genuine interest in their personal stories and offering a good listening ear.

She is survived by two daughters, Patty Ann Smith and husband Dwayne of Dalhart, Texas and Karen Dean and husband Max of Odessa, Texas, three grandchildren, Jessica Watts and husband Shiloh of Dalhart, Texas, Jonathan Dean and wife Patti of Odessa, Texas, and Jeannie Blankinship and husband Todd of Odessa, Texas, five great grandchildren, Jadon Watts, Jaxon Watts, Jon Dean, Emily Blankinship and Toby Blankinship, sister-in-law, Maxine Blanton of Liberty, Texas, a foster daughter, Kim Murphy and husband Larry of Cypress, Texas and T.J. Harrell of San Angelo, who loved and cared for her as a son would have. and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and  many friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Annie Richard, and husband, Dr. William A. Pattillo.
