Annie Clairene (Whitten) Helgeson

Annie Clairene Helgeson, age 100, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020 in Richardson, Texas.

A private graveside was held at Sweetwater Cemetery. Burial followed. Arrangements were under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Annie Clairene Whitten was born on June 6, 1919 in Sweetwater, Texas to H.T. and Carrye Mae (Lawson) Whitten. She married Warren Arnold Helgeson in l942 in Sweetwater, Texas. She was a Baptist. She worked as a cashier at Montgomery Ward and then later at Hardin Simmons University where she retired.

She is survived by her son, Richard Helgeson and wife Jean of Garland, Texas, three grandsons, Benjamin, Andrew and wife Angie, and Eric, and one great granddaughter, Daphnie Helgeson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, H.T. and Carrye Whitten, husband, Warren Arnold Helgeson, three brothers, Harry Whitten, Max Whitten, and Jack Whitten, and sister, Betty Jo Whitten.
