Beverly Sue Cervik was born in Rochester, Texas on July 29, 1933. She grew up and attended school in Rochester and then moved to Electra, Texas where she met and married George Cervik on October 5, 1957. They began their life together in Pampa, Texas, where their only child Cindy was born, followed by a move to Iowa Park before settling in Sweetwater in 1970.
As a housewife and homemaker, Sue loved to cook and bake. She spent endless hours in the kitchen and loved every minute. She loved to share what she cooked and would make care packages and always made sure that anyone who visited left with something. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and spending time with friends. Sue enjoyed community involvement when she and 5 friends formed the line dance group called the Dancing Queens and would perform at local events, care facilities, and schools. She and George also enjoyed polka dancing and attended the Senior Dances.
She was strong-willed and determined with a never give-up attitude. She showed grace and self-control as her body was failed - but never let the pain rule her life. As she required care but wanted to live at her house, appreciation and many thanks are given to all of the wonderful ladies, who provided care, friendship and companionship.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Robinson of Lubbock, Texas, grandson, Zachary Robinson and wife Klaudia of Lubbock, Texas, nephew, Les Dabney of Redding, California, and numerous cousins, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Cervik, parents, Truman and Ethel Dabney, brother, James Dabney and son-in-law, Michael Robinson.
We know that Sue would love and appreciate any desired donations be made to: Rochester Cemetery Association, 2340 CR 187, Rochester, Texas 79544.
