Billy Joe Nations, age 73, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Hendrick Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 23, 2016 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Chris Stephens officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Billy Joe Nations was born on June 11, 1943 in Sweetwater, Texas to Herman and Vadie (Chance) Nations. He was a Christian. He worked for Stroman's Exxon for many years as a truck driver and then as a service station attendant before retiring. He was a lifetime resident of Sweetwater, Texas. He was a humble and caring man.
He is survived by his brother, Charles Nations and wife Sylvia of Fort Worth, Texas, niece, Ashlie Nations, and three nephews, Danny Nations, Bradley Nations and wife Stephanie and Michael Nations, two great nephews, Troy and Cory, and numerous cousins, including Paige Lancaster and husband Todd and their family and Sissy Schriber and aunt, Berta Chandler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman & Vadie Nations.
