Charles T. Sharrock

Charles T. Sharrock, age 78, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Ward Hayes officiating.  Burial will follow at Palava Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M.

Charles was born June 1, 1935 in Fisher County, Texas to F.D. (Dee) and Nannie Ruth Sharrock.  He graduated from Newman High School in 1953.  He married Peggy Ann Hall on June 18, 1954 in Sweetwater, Texas.  He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.  He was a self-employed farmer and rancher and also worked as a rural route carrier for the U.S. Post office for many years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Peggy Ann Sharrock of Sweetwater, Texas; daughter, Leigh Ann Weatherred and husband Stan of Levelland, Texas, two sons, Fred Sharrock and wife Karen of Merkel, Texas; and David Sharrock of Midland, Texas; four grandchildren, Britt Allen Sharrock, Allison Anne Sharrock, Kendall Ann Weatherred, and Caleb Weatherred, sister, Deana McWilliams of Sweetwater, Texas and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, F.D. (Dee) and Nannie Ruth Sharrock.

Pallbearers will be Randy Russell, Stanley Johnson, Jimmy Driver, Jimmy Wright, Paul McCarthy, and Danny Ray Hoover.
