Ciria Ann (Pena) Tovar

Ciria Ann Tovar, age 63, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at her residence.

Per her wishes, her body was cremated. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Iglesia De La Fuente Carmesi with Pastor Francisco Ortega officiating. Graveside services will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Eldorado Cemetery in Eldorado, Texas with Pastor Francisco Ortega officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Ciria was born on December 22, 1954 in San Angelo, Texas to Robert Pena, Sr. and Fidencia ( Galindo) Pena. She married Jose A. Tovar on May 24, 1971 in Eldorado, Texas. She worked as a caregiver for many years.

She is survived by four children, Marybel Tovar Rangel of Sweetwater, Texas, Michelle Stocker and husband Rick of Clovis, New Mexico, Joann Hernandez and husband Elbin of San Antonio, Texas, and Joe Edward Tovar of San Antonio, Texas, brother, Robert Pena, Jr. of Lawrenceville, Georgia, grandchildren, Eric Medina, Maribel Tovar, Paula Tovar, Xavier Rangel, Ashley Hernandez, Dustan Hernandez, Maddie Hernandez, and Guadalupe Stocker, great granddaughter, Freya Medina, and nieces, Debbie Pena and Emily Pena.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose A. Tovar, parents, Robert Pena, Sr. and Fidencia Pena.
