Clyde G. Sanders

Clyde G. Sanders, age 81, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Nolan Nursing and Rehab.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Lester Cavitt officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 6:00 - 7:00 P.M..

Clyde was born on January 2, 1937 in Sweetwater, Texas to William Everett and Mary (George) Sanders. He was a Baptist. he worked as a grounds keeper for Texas Ranger Field for many years before retiring.

He is survived by his brother, T.D. Sanders of Luling, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews, including Barbara Kamer and husband Lewis, Betty Sanders, and William (Junior) Sanders, all of Sweetwater, Texas; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, George Sanders, Jimmy Lee Sanders, John Sanders, Thomas Sanders and William Donald Sanders, and one sister, Mary Sue Sanders Ray.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Sanders, Austin Kamer, Robert Kamer, Doug Hardin, Sam Kamer, and Junior Sanders.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Ballenger, Lewis Kamer, Chris Kamer  Bobby Cody, Blake Linebaugh and Kenny Ballenger.
