Connie Blair, age 90, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Hoyt Place.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Bethel Assembly with Carter Edmondson officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M.
Connie was born on September 18, 1932 in Sweetwater, Texas to G.D. and Maysie (Utterback) Felton. She was a graduate of Newman High School and Draughon Business College. She married Fred R. Blair on Feb. 12, 1951 in Roby, Texas. She was a member of First Christian Church. She worked for National Bank of Sweetwater, then First National Bank, and later First Financial Bank as an operations officer for a total of forty six years before retiring. She then worked for Bennett & Associates for twenty years before retiring again.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Kaye Blair of Sweetwater, Texas, grandchildren, Stephen Presley and wife Melisa, Kristi Eivens,Carin Blair- Hoober and husband Sam, great grandchildren, Elysia Jayne Blair-Hoober, Piper Raelynn Blair-Hoober, Kambryn Presley, Morgan Gomez, Justen Gomez, and Korben Cunningham, niece, Judy Deshazo and nephews, Hugh Blair, Greg Blair, and Bobby Blair, numerous great nieces and nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Blair, son-in-law, Tony Blair, grandson-in-law, James McNeil Eivens, two sisters, Gene Jones and Effie May Allison, niece, Jayne Jones, and great nephew, David Jones.
Pallbearers will be Aric McGowan, Tristan McGowan, Justen Gomez, Korben Cunningham, Brendin Atkins, and Greg Pope.
