Daniel Luevano, age 78, of Sweetwater,Texas, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at his residence surrounded by family.

His wishes were to be cremated.  A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Andy Wilson officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Daniel was born March 12, 1946 in Keenesburg, Colorado.  He worked in cement construction for many years before retiring.  He was a Catholic.  He married Patricia Reed in Sweetwater, Texas.  His family was the joy of his life, especially his grandchildren.  He loved to cook and was always in the kitchen or outside barbequing.  He loved music.  Daniel never met a stranger that he didn't make friends with.  He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of forty years, Patricia Luevano of Sweetwater, Texas; sons, Danny Luevano, Jr. and wife Jay of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Neil Carpenter and wife Stephanie of Dothan, Alabama, daughters, Trina Alvarez and husband Ray of Bakersfield, California, Brandi Garcia and husband Sammy of Roby, Texas, and Britney Carpenter and spouse Danny of Sweetwater, Texas; sixteen grandchildren, Danny, Alex, Gabrielle, Ray, Austin, Alexis, Ashton, Katelyn, Mason, Logan, Blacelyn, Jimmy, Elizabeth, Elijah, Asia, and Roman; seven great grandchildren, Delilah, Roman, Rebecca, Haystin, Jamison, Derek, and Easton; nieces, Fatima and husband Goshi Maqsood, Anneliese and husband Tony Parker, all of San Antonio, Texas; nephews, Juan Luevano, Jr., of San Antonio, Texas, Cliff Forbes and Toby Forbes, both of Sweetwater, Texas, Ricky Reed of Edgewood, Texas, Cody Reed and Steven Reed, both of Midland, Texas; sisters-in-law, Joanna Stevens and husband Randal of Sweetwater, Texas, and Patricia Reed of Sweetwater, Texas; sons, Robert Reyes, Jimmy Luevano and wife Shannon, Simon & Augustin Luevano; daughter, Nancy Varisco and husband John.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Refugia Luevano, brother, Juan Luevano, sister, Angelica Luevano, brother-in-law, Ricky Reed, sister-in-law, Lisa Griffith, and nephew, Chris Reed.
