Daniel (Danny) Carrillo, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at his residence.
A rosary will be held 7:00 P.M., Friday, July 31, 2015 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel recited by Deacon Bill Butler.
Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Holy Spirit Parish Catholic Church (Immaculate Heart of Mary) with Rev. Nilo Nalugon officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Danny was born on January 15, 1954 in Rocksprings, Texas to Pablo B. and Julia (Contreras) Carrillo. He was a SHS graduate. He married Janie Bermea on September 25, 1982 in Sweetwater, Texas. He worked for Cox Jewelers for forty one years. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He served in the National Guard for twenty one years retiring in 1997.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janie Carrillo of Sweetwater, Texas; two sons, Jacob Carrillo of Euless, Texas and Mike Carrillo of Houston, Texas, two grandsons, Gabe Carrillo and Jace Gray, two sisters, Mariselda Carrillo ,and Marisanda Galindo, both of Abilene, Texas and one brother, R.C. Carrillo and wife Norma of Abilene, several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julia and Pablo Carrillo, maternal grandparents, Fulgencio & Juanita Contreras, paternal grandparents, Genaro & Gregoria Carrillo and brother, Paul C. Carrillo.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Carrillo, Mike Carrillo, Michael Lopez, Andrew Carrillo, Anthony Gonzales, and David Sansom.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Garcia, Thomas Byrd, Cristian Galindo, Ramsey Lopez, Robert Haberzettle, and Tim Martinez.
