David Ellis Brewer, Jr., age 60, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Ward Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 6:00-7:00 P.M..
David was born on January 29, 1953 in Lubbock, Texas to David Ellis Brewer, Sr. and Freda (Powers) Brewer. He was a self-employed welder. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He married Ann Widener on October 5, 1975 in Floydada, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Brewer of Sweetwater, TX; three sons, Wayne Chowning and wife Ann-G of Sweetwater, Texas; Dustun Chowning of Snyder, Texas; and David Ellis Brewer, III and wife Lenae of Palm Coast, Florida; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; mother, Freda Brewer of Graham, Texas; and sister, Jean Whitsitt and husband Owen of Graham, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Ellis Brewer, Sr..

Pallbearers will be David Sager, Dink Brown, Donald Reynolds, Lynn Smith, Rick Davis, Frankie Young, and Doug Frost. .
Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Payne, Alfred Alarco'n, and Fred McDowell.
