Dennis Gene Walkowiak, age 65, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at his residence.

Per his wishes, his body was cremated. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, Texas with the U. S. Army Honor Guard.  Entombment of his cremains will follow.   Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Dennis was born on September 20, 1955 in Webster, Massachusetts to Bernard and Barbara (Johnson) Walkowiak.  He worked as a machinist most of his life.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.  He had been a resident of Sweetwater, Texas for ten years.

He is survived by his sister, Elaine Haas and husband Richard of Sweetwater, Texas, and  brother, Bernard Walkowiak, Jr. of Thompson, Connecticut, nephews, Chris Haas and wife Shana, and Brett Haas and wife Lisa, great niece, Tabitha Haas, great nephews, Koby Haas, Braydon Haas, and Albert Schooly, his beloved dog, Ringo, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
