Doyle Lee Parsons, age 42, of Blackwell, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 5, 2013 at Decker Cemetery with Dr. Stan Cosby officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Doyle was born on October 10, l970 in Abilene, Texas to Rodney (Tinker) and Linda (Alderman) Parsons. He graduated from San Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a registered nurse working for Shannon Hospital in San Angelo, Texas, hospitals in Austin, Texas, and Hendrick Hospital in Abilene, Texas. He had been a resident of Blackwell for the last three years, moving from Austin, Texas.
He is survived by his parents, Tinker and Linda Parsons of Blackwell, Texas; sister, Carrie Allen of Blackwell, Texas; brother, Robert Parsons and wife Melanie of Abilene, Texas; two nephews, Jaylee Allen and Luke Parsons, two nieces, Jessa Kay Allen and Danielle Parsons, uncles, Reese Parsons and wife Tere of Midland, Texas and Robert Parsons and wife Sheila of Sweetwater, Texas; aunt, Patricia Rainey of Austin, Texas; and numerous cousins and other family members.
