Ellen V. (Lawson) Martin

Ellen V. Martin, age 77, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center.
Her body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Ellen was born on March 16, 1936 in Bell County, Texas to Joe and Obie Mandy (Pace) Lawson. She was a Christian and a homemaker. She had been a resident of Sweetwater for two years, coming from Snyder and she also lived in Fort Worth, Texas.
She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Nell Brown and Sandy Fuller, both of Snyder, Texas; two sons, Terry King of Davilla, Texas and Jerry King of Sweetwater, Texas; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Kyle of Bluffdale, Texas and Mary Frasier Pruitt of Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Obie Mandy Lawson, her husband, Wayne Martin, son, Timmy Clarence King, grandsons, Justin & Kelly King , two brothers, Arthur Lee Lawson and Gene Lawson; and six sisters, Addie Jane Maddux, Carol Dean Lawson, Flossie Lawson Schoebel, Velva Carl, Ida Mae Turnbo, and Dorothy Kelley.
