Born Frank Richard Allen to Claude and Helen Allen on September 25, 1949 in McCamey, Texas. Frank grew up in a house full of love in Iraan, Texas with his parents who preceded him in death, and his sister who almost at birth affectionately nicknamed him "Buddy", the name he would be called for 63 years. Buddy married and had two children; children who never questioned the meaning of love because their dad exhibited it through all of his life's trials and joys. He owned and operated a successful security company most of his adult life yet still made time to teach his kids how to play golf and hunt, activities they enjoyed with him regularly. Other activities he delighted in included mowing the lawn with his granddaughter and even teaching her how to dig a ditch in the backyard. The greatest love Buddy had was for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He spent many years devoted to Hays Hills Baptist Church, never missing an opportunity to drive the church bus or volunteer as camp counselor. Buddy's clear purpose in all he did was simple, love unconditionally. His favorite pastime was sharing the gospel with others and everyone he met he called "friend." He never harbored an ounce of hatred or resentment for another nor did he ever need to state his unfailing love for all of God's children or unshakeable faith in Jesus. It shined through in all of his interactions. Buddy, brother, son, daddy, Pe-Paw was called home before we were ready. But there is no question he is dancing, singing, laughing and loving with his Jesus now. The world will forever have emptiness unable to be filled by another soul. His loving spirit lives through the sorrowful eyes of anyone who ever met him and he will rest in the hearts of those whom he knew loved him so deeply it swallows them whole.
He is survived by his daughter, Alissa Ward and husband Bradley, his son, Dustin; his sister, Beverly Armstrong and husband Rick and their daughters, Heather Dasher and Ashley Armstrong and his "littlest girl:, granddaughter, Mary-Avery.
