Freddie J. Schubert

January 2, 1940 — November 5, 2014

Freddie J. Schubert, age 74 , of Longworth, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Briarcliff Health Center in Greenville, Texas.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Longworth Cemetery with Rev. Jake Wade officiating.  Burial will follow.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Freddie Jerrald Schubert was born in Sweetwater, Texas on January 2, 1940 to Carl Richard and Mona Faye Woodward Schubert.  He married Velma Louise Parker in 1962 and raised five children.

He was a wonderful and loving father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend to many.  He was a good, kind, hard working man who always loved working outside. Freddie was a great person and always showed respect to others.

Freddie graduated from Sweetwater High School and completed two years of college from McMurry College.  He worked at Lone Star Industries in Maryneal, Texas until his retirement in 2002 and then began ranching and raising beautiful pecan trees full time.

He is survived by two brothers and one sister-in-law,  Gary Schubert and Glenn and Peggy Schubert; three daughters, Debora, Connie and Sandy; one son, Damon; one step-son, Jimmy; three sons-in-law, Jerry, Sam and Patrick; one daughter-in-law, Paula; seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
