Fronie E. "Sissy" Scroggins, 86, of Sweetwater, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013, at Nolan Nursing and Rehab.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM., Monday, December 16, 2013 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Brownlow officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Monday at Bishop Cemetery, Lipan, Texas with Ervin Lehrman officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Fronie E. "Sissy" Scroggins was born on March 16, 1927 in Lipan, Texas to Truman Harrison Lewallen and Addie Jane (Rogers) Lewallen. She married F. W. "Ted" Scroggins on December 31, 1946 in Mineral Wells, Texas. She was a resident of Loraine for many years moving here from Odessa, Texas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Reedy and wife Karen of Roscoe, Texas; daughter in law, Jo Ann Gordy and husband Joe of Odessa, Texas; sister, Mary Henderson and husband Mike of Abilene, Texas; five grandchildren, Melanie Grellhesl and husband Derrick, Rebecca Gratehouse and husband Logan; Rachel Shipp and husband Jason; Randy Scroggins and wife Heather, and Jennifer Revell; six great grandchildren Drew and Axel Grellhesl, Samuel and Lily Gratehouse, Maddux Shipp, Hayden Scroggins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Truman Harrison and Addie Jane Lewallen, husband, F.W. "Ted" Scroggins, and son, Freddie Scroggins.
Pallbearers will be Bogie Tatem, Buster Lewallen, Joe Lewallen, Joe Gordy, Randy Scroggins and Leslie Rannefeld.
Memorials may be made to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, 2600 Post Oak Road, Abilene, Texas 79605.
