Gay (Seaton) Martin

Gay Martin, age 70 of Sweetwater, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Word of God Church with Pastor Dale Stowe officiating. Burial will follow at Hobbs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Gay was born on November 28, 1941 in Rotan, Texas to John L. and Annie Doris Seaton. She was a hairdresser in Rotan for many years and also owned and operated Martin's Water Jug in Sweetwater for many years before retiring. She married Connie Martin on May 18, 1984 in Sweetwater, Texas. She was a member of Word of God Church.
She is survived by daughter, Connie Jones and David Creek and Damita Sylvest, all of Sweetwater, Texas; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Wright, T.J. Wright, Brandy Wright, Robbi Mooney, Martin Williams, Ashley Funderburg and Nikki Jones; eight great grandchildren; and two brothers, Joe Seaton of Jayton, Texas and Johnny Seaton of Rotan, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Ann Seaton, her husband, Connie Martin, one brother, Alvin Seaton and two great grandchildren, Blaize and Cutter Presley.
Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Seaton, Joe Seaton, Jr., Randy Seaton, Tim Seaton, Wes Seaton, Colby Seaton, and Kiley Seaton.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M..
