Georgia Louise Sutton, age 71, of Abilene, Texas (Former resident of Sweetwater, Texas), passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 12, 2012 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marcy Grun officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Louise was born on February 24, 1941 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Edgar Luther and Dora Bell (Leverett) Hawkins. She married James Edward Sutton, Sr. on October 4, 1956 in California. She was Baptist and lived most of her life in Sweetwater. She worked as a waitress and shift manager for 76 Truck Stop for many years and also at a telephone answering service.
She is survived by one sister, Mary Dyain Willham of California; six children, Virginia Mann of Abilene, TX; James (Bubba) Sutton, Jr. and wife Kathy of Abilene, Texas; Robert Sutton and wife Shelly; Raymond Sutton and wife Cindy; Barbara Sutton, and Ronnie Sutton, all of Sweetwater, Texas, twenty one grandchildren; forty great grandchildren and (2) great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Luther and Dora Bell (Leverett) Hawkins, and husband, James Edward Sutton, Sr, grandson, Bo Broughton, great grandson, Preston Sutton, and one brother, Luther Ray Hawkins.
Pallbearers will be James Sutton, III, James Coe McClelland, Casey Sutton, Scottie Sutton, Cody Sutton, and SFC Robert Dale (R.D.) Sutton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dusty Sutton and Nathan Alderson.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 2-4 P.M.
