Gracie Ellen Williams

Gracie Ellen (Peeples) Williams, age 86, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024. 

A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Trinity Baptist Church, 1506 Santa Fe, Sweetwater, Texas with Pastor David Cason officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home. 

Gracie was born on October 20, 1938 in Longworth, Texas to George and Sabra Peeples. She married Waylon Williams on May 21, 1964 in Longworth, Texas. Gracie was a longtime resident of Roby, Texas, before moving to Abilene where she lived at Lyndale Senior Living. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Sweetwater and later became a member of Broadview Baptist Church when she moved to Abilene. She was a homemaker. 

She is survived by her children, Duaine Williams of Winters, Texas, and Randall Williams and his family, wife, Kirsten, and son Waylon of Shelton, Washington; and brother, Edwin Peeples of Raymore, Missouri. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Sabra Peeples; husband, Waylon Williams; two brothers, Milton Peeples and Weldon Peeples, and one sister, Ramona Peeples.
