Helen O. Hagood, age 74, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 30,

2010 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Faith Lutheran

Church with Rev. Chester McCown officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater

Cemetery under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Helen was born on July 8, 1935 in Roscoe, Texas . She married Wayne Hagood on

July 10, 1955 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Sweetwater , TX . She was a homemaker

and was very active in quilting, ceramics, arts and crafts and cake making. She was

also a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church . She was a devoted wife, mother and

grandmother.

She is survived by her husband – Wayne Hagood of Sweetwater , TX ; two sons –

Mark Hagood and wife Kathy of Florence, South Carolina and Joel Hagood and

wife Kim of Levelland , Texas ; five grandchildren –Brandon, Tristan, Heather,

Whitney and Maura; one sister – Laverne Stolle of Slaton, Texas and one brother

Lawrence Bredemeyer of Port Isabel , Texas .

She was preceded in death by her parents – Bert and Irmgard Bredemeyer, one

son – Brad Wayne Hagood on August 25, 1995 , and one sister – Gloria McClellan

on March 16, 2002 .

Pallbearers will be Roland Finch, David Hackfeld, Bion Coleman, Mike Corley,

Kenneth Kendrick, and Arthur Ray Boyd.

Honorary pallbearers will be J. Roy McAdams and Tex Leach.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 from

6:00 – 8:00 PM .
