Howard L. Chance

Howard L. Chance, age 79, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Browning officiating and Dusty Lovell assisting. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories with Nolan County Honor Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 6-7 PM.
Howard was born on August 4, 1933 in Sweetwater, Texas to Jerry and Eunice (Alldredge) Chance. He worked as an installer for AT&T for forty one years before retiring. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a faithful and loyal servant of Christ. He was also an avid Sweetwater Mustang fan. He was a U.S. Army Reserve veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Barry Chance and wife Shelly of Sundown, Texas, Kerry Chance of Sweetwater, Texas, Jason Chance of Lubbock, Texas, two daughters, Leslea Chance of Bryan, Texas; and Paige Lancaster and husband Todd of Abilene, Texas, five grandsons, Spencer Chance, Cameron Chance, Loegan Chance, Riley Lancaster, and Levi Lancaster, one sister, Berta Chandler of Fort Stockton, Texas, and nieces, Rita Grisham, Amy Chance, Katheleen Barnett, Linda Barnett, Sissy Schriber, and Kris Edwards, nephews, Jimmy Chance, John Chance, Jr., Billy Joe Nations, Charles Ray Nations, Jim Warwick, Ben Warwick, Jerry Warwick, Morris Lasater, Scott Thomas,and Terry Thomas, and many great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Eunice Chance, six brothers and sisters, and mother of his children, Darla (Gee) Chance.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 1503 Crescent, Sweetwater, Texas 79556.
Pallbearers will be Spencer Chance, Cameron Chance, Terry Thomas, Armando Renteria, Jr., David McCann, and Wes Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Loegan Chance, Riley Lancaster, and Levi Lancaster.
