Iva D (Ikie) Wilson, age 93, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at his residence.
Per his wishes, his body was cremated. No services are planned at this time. Interment will take place at Sweetwater Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Ikie was born on October 9, 1922 to Hersey and Virginia Wilson. He taught auto mechanics at TSTI, retiring in 1986. After retirement he owned a lawnmower repair service for many years. He loved tinkering in his shop. He married Charlotte Mullins on March 30, 1941, in Sweetwater, Texas.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Atchison and husband Tommy of Stanton, Texas, one sister, Mary Lynn Aucutt of Snyder, Texas, brother-in-law Lawrence Mullins of Sweetwater, Texas, sister-in-law Polly Boyd of Fort Worth, Texas and special friends, Dan Grimaldo, Alton Pyburn and Manuel Jaramillo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
