James Edward Sutton, Sr. age 73 of Sweetwater , TX passed away on

Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Abilene Nursing and Rehab.

Funeral Services will be held 4:30 P.M., Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Cate-

Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marcy Grun officiating.

Burial will follow at Garden of Memories under the direction of Cate-Spencer

& Trent Funeral Home.

He was born on October 23, 1936 in Paint Rock, Texas and married Georgia

Louise Hawkins on October 4, 1956 in California . He was a Baptist. He

worked in the oilfield for many years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife – Louise Sutton of Sweetwater , Texas ; (2) Daughters –

Virginia Mann of Abilene , Texas and Barbara Sutton of Sweetwater, TX;

(4) Sons - James (Bubba) Sutton, Jr. and wife Kathy of Abilene , Texas ;

Raymond Earl Sutton and wife Cindy of Sweetwater, TX; Robert Dale

Sutton and wife Shelly of Sweetwater, TX; and Ronnie Dearl Sutton of

Sweetwater , Texas ; (21) Grandchildren; (36) Great Grandchildren; (3)

Brothers – Buddy Sutton and wife Sue, J.L. and wife Betty, and Bruce

Sutton and wife Sharon , all of Sweetwater, Tx; (1) Sister – Wanda Gotcher

of Sweetwater , Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Coe and Mary Kelly Virginia

Gibbs Sutton, Grandchild – Bo Broughton and one great grandchild – Preston

Sutton.

Pallbearers will be James “Tray” Sutton, III , Steven Ray Powell, Casey

Dearl Sutton, Scottie Bruce Sutton, Cody Dearl Sutton, and Staff Sgt.

Robert Dale “R.D.” Sutton, Jr.

Honorary pallbearer will be Dusty Sutton.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 28, 2010
