James L. Watson, age 63, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Newman Cemetery with Rev. Matt McGowen officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.. .
James was born on June 20, 1953 in Sweetwater, Texas to James Lloyd Watson and Anita Price Watson He married Iris Ann Frazier on December 28, 1981 in Roscoe, Texas. He was a Baptist and construction operator for Wanzek Construction. .
He is survived by his mother, Anita Watson of Merkel, Texas, wife, Iris Ann Watson of Sweetwater, Texas, brother, Gary Watson and wife Teresa of Sweetwater, two daughters, Kelly Hartman and Laurie Huett and husband Brian, three sons, James Weldon Watson, Brandon Watson and wife Brianna, and Patrick Watson, all of Sweetwater, Texas, six grandchildren, Seth Claxton, Cade McVay, Morgan Watson, Matthew Huett, Darin Watson, and Emma Watson, sister-in-law, Patsy Pugh of Sweetwater and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Lloyd Watson.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Watson, Patrick Watson, James Tollison, Brooks Whisenant, Mickey Price, Brian Huett and Kevin Watson.
