James (Cotton) Webb, age 81, of Fredericksburg, Texas (Former resident of Blackwell, Texas) passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014 in Fredericksburg.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Blackwell Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Dotson officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
James was born on July 3, 1932 in Tuxedo, Texas to William Hardie and Etta (Stroud) Webb. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Blackwell, Texas. He worked for Texas Oil & Gas for many years before retiring.
He is survived by five daughters, Tracie Rutledge of Fredericksburg, Texas, Teresa Quast of Sterling City, Texas, Sherry Kelly of Katy, Texas, Sondra Stoker of Crushing, Oklahoma, and Melissa Webb of Selma, Texas; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three wives, one brother, two sisters and two grandchildren.
