John Devreau Boggs, age 89, passed away at his home in Santa Fe, Texas on Tuesday, March 24, 2015.

John was born on August 31, 1925 in Briscoe County, Texas to John C. Boggs and Mary Chandler. He married Nora “Becky” Boggs on November 8, 1947 and was preceded in death by her on September 5, 2009 along with his parents, two brothers, Cody and Durward and sister Edethel.
John worked for Gypsum Transport as a terminal manager for many years before retiring.
Survivors include sons: Johnnie Boggs and wife Brenda of Abilene, Texas; Mike Boggs and wife Sherry of New Braunfels, Texas; Joe Boggs of Santa Fe, Texas; and David Boggs and wife Shelly of San Antonio, Texas; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ben Richey Boys Ranch at P.O. Box 6839 Abilene, Texas 79608.
