Johnnie Jo (Joni) McMillin, age 86, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Willow Bend Nursing & Rehab.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt McGowen officiating.
Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 6-8 PM.
Johnnie was born on June 2, 1928 in Merkel, Texas to Charlie C. and Nancy (Lizzy) Gouge. She worked for J.C. Penneys as a sales clerk and was a homemaker. She married George Mc Millin on Jan. 30, 1946 in Merkel, Texas. She was a Baptist. She loved to travel with her sisters.
She is survived by her son, Larry McMillin and wife Ricki of Mesquite, Texas, daughter-in-law, Nan McMillin of Jacksonville, Texas, many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, brother, Billy Gouge of Sherman, Texas, and sister, Louise Corcoran of Lytle, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie & Lizzy Gouge, husband, George McMillin, and son, Tommy McMillin, sister, Wanda Mashburn, and brother, J.D. Gouge.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt McGowen officiating.
