Joni Raynae (Sorrells) Sorrells

Abilene, Texas

Joni Raynae Sorrells, age 40, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her residence.

Per her wishes, her body was cremated.  A celebration of Joni's life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Joni was born on July 16, 1980 to Wayne and Kelly Raynae (Williams) Sorrells.  She was a l998 Graduate of Sweetwater High School.  She attended San Angelo State University.  Joni cheerleaded for her SHS Mustangs for five years.  She was nominated for Homecoming and Yucca Queen, New Year Girl and was on the Golf Team.  Her favorite honor was Class Favorite her Senior year.  She was a member of Avondale Baptist Church.  She was a realtor, very successful with Dalzell and Remax of Abilene.  Those who knew her loved her.  Joni excelled in gentle kindness. She was as beautiful inside as outside.  The loves of her life were her two boys, Max Ferguson and Kruze Baack.

She is survived by her sons, Max Ferguson and Kruze Baack, her parents, Wayne & Kelly Sorrells, sister, Misty Muncy and husband, Cody, grandparents, Ray & Glenda Williams, and  Richard Alls, nephews, Garrett, Levi, Ty and Drew Muncy, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in passing by her Nanny, Helen Alls, and great granddaddy, Papa Jack Williams.
