Juan Gloria

Juan Gloria, age 83, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 6, 2018 at Calvario Baptist Church with Javier Franco, and Walter Best officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 6:00- 7:00 PM.

Juan was born on February 8, 1935 in Nueve Palestino, Mexico to Pedro and Delfina (Jacquez) Gloria. He married Maria Guadalupe Vasquez on July 1, 1961 in Acuna Mexico. He worked as a cook for Ranch House Restaurant for many years before retiring.

He is survived by three sons, Michael Gloria of Sweetwater, Texas, John Gloria and wife Rita of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Joe Gloria and wife Mindy of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren; Juan Gloria, Jr., Michael Gloria, Devon Gloria, Dylan Gloria, Joseph Gloria, Bryan Gloria, Caelen Gloria, and MariLou Gloria, brother, Lupe Gloria and sister Bertha Aguilar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Maria Gloria, daughter, four brothers and sisters

Pallbearers will be Manuel Jaramillo, Oscar Hernandez, Oscar Hernandez, Jr., Joe Gomez, Lupe Enriquez, and Manuel Medina.
