Juanita (Cuellar) Moncada

Juanita Cuellar Moncada, age 83, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

A rosary will be held 7:00 P.M., Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel recited by Victor Rubio, Jr..

Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 24, 2023 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating.  Burial will follow at Roscoe Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Juanita was born on February 26, 1940 to Manuel, Sr. and Julia (Polanco) Cuellar.  She married Juan S. Moncada on May 11, 1970.  She worked as a nurse's aide at Roscoe Healthcare Center for many years before retiring.  She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews whom she thought the world of,   brother, Juan (John) Cuellar and wife Maria of Merkel, Texas, sisters-in-law, Juanita Cuellar of Roscoe, Texas, Anita Cantu of Grand Prairie, Texas, Dora Cuellar, and Rachel Cuellar, both of Sweetwater, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel & Julia Cuellar, five brothers, Jose Cuellar, Martin Cuellar, Epifanio Cuellar,  Manuel Cuellar, Jr., and Rafael Cuellar, sister, Maria (Mary) Guerra, niece, Lily Roxanne Ruiz, niece, Maria Elena Saenz, and nephew, Richard Cuellar.

Pallbearers will be Louis Cuellar, Roman Cuellar, Eugene Lopez, Joe Cuellar, Martin Cuellar, and Julian Cuellar, Jr..
