Julia (Ballenger) Soper

Julia (Ballenger) Soper, age 71, of Brownfield, Texas, (Former resident of Sweetwater, Texas) passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025. 

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. 

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Associate Pastor Phillip Litton officiating. Burial will follow at Roby Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home. 

Julia was born on March 27, 1953 in Sweetwater, Texas to Malcolm John and Ruby Irene (Terry) Ballenger. She graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1971.  She was a Baptist. She worked for a dental office and also was a caregiver. 

She is survived by her sister, Virginia Baker of Sweetwater, Texas; brothers, Cranston Ballenger of Sweetwater, Texas, and Mike Ballenger and wife Kathy of Sweetwater, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and aunt, Adeline Ballenger. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Troy Ballenger, and Johnny Ballenger; brother-in-law, Kenneth Baker, Sr.; sister-in-law, Judy Ballenger; nephew, Kenneth Baker, Jr. and great nephew, Zachary Ballenger.
