Kenny Ray Martin

Kenny Ray Martin, age 50, of Big Spring, Texas (Former resident of Sweetwater, Texas) passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

Kenny was born on March 10, 1967 in Olton, Texas to Jimmy Wayne and Billie Jean (Richards) Martin. He worked as a truck driver for many years driving all over the country espcially Alaska and the Yukon Territory. He was a devoted father who loved his children and his family. He was a Christian who loved his Jesus. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan.

He is survived by his mother, Billie Jean Martin of Big Spring, Texas, two daughters, Jennifer Shannon of Leakey, Texas, and Jessica Sanchez of Leakey, Texas, son, Garrett Martin of Junction, Texas, two sisters, Sherry Edmondson and husband Jerry of Big Spring, Texas, and Rhonda Edmondson and companion Henry of Seagraves, Texas, four brothers, Jimmy Martin, Jr. and wife Linda of Newton, Texas, Mike Martin and wife Eve of Sonora, Texas, Steve Martin of Big Spring, Texas, and Kelly Martin and girlfriend Janelle of Sonora, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Wayne Martin,

Pallbearers will be Clint Edmondson, Trent Edmondson, Billy Edmondson, Dustin Martin, Chris Martin and Jerit Martin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Haven Martin, Chuck Martin, Scott Martin, Mikey Martin, and Jason Martin.
