Laura A. Linam, age 94, of Sweetwater, Texas, (long-time resident of Roscoe , TX ),

passed away on Monday, June 7, 2010 at Sweetwater Healthcare Center .

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Salem

Lutheran Church with Parrish Ministers Dean and Patsy Quade officiating

followed by burial at Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent

Funeral Home.

Laura was born on Dec. 28, 1915 in Roscoe, Texas . She married Clyde Linam in

April, 1950. She was a lifetime member of Salem Lutheran Church where she played

the piano. She was a faithful member of the Women’s Organization, 42 Club, AARP,

and the Sewing Club. She volunteered for “Meals –on-Wheels” service, provided

transportation for rest home patients, held classes for “Driver’s Education” program.

She loved to play dominoes. She worked for Germania Insurance Agency for many

years.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, including Edwin Althof, Jr. of Roscoe , Texas

and Frances Hughes of Roscoe , Texas .

She was preceded in death by her husband – Clyde Linam, her parents – Karl and

Dorothy Klas Althof, (2) brothers and (5) sisters.

Pallbearers will be Daylon Althof, Roddy Baumann, Willis Hughes, Dale Monroe,

Tom Watt, and Ralph Stirl.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from

6:00 – 8:00 PM .
