Laura "Sue" Michael, age 73, of Midland, Texas (Former Resident of Sweetwater, Texas), passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013 in Midland, Texas.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel. with Pastor Juanelle Jordan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Laura "Sue" was born on August 26, 1939 in Sweetwater, Texas to Clarence and Marguerite (Herndon) Hudgins. She graduated from Newman High School and received her associate degree in criminial law from Western Texas College. She worked as a office manager for different businesses before retiring. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sweetwater, Texas and the Parkinson's Club.
She is survived by her children; Deborah Fleming, Bill Wharton and wife Brenda; Becky Wharton and husband Mike Stanley, Brooks Wharton and wife Elisha, Carrie and husband Eric Palacio; Casey Hendrix and wife LaDonna; grandchildren; Asa, Heather, Will, Kyle, Kerstin, Shelby, Kassee, Kelsi, Taylor, Nick, Noah, Randy and Jennifer; five great grandchildren; brother, Ed Hudgins and wife Suzanne; cousin, Bev Herndon and wife Nancy and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Deryl Michael, father, Clarence Hudgins, mother, Marguerite Hudgins, grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Herndon, daughter, Pamela Dianne Wharton, aunt, Clara Mae Gesin and cousin, Bill Herndon.
