Laura Jean (Batchelor) Winslow

Laura Jean Winslow, age 54, of Sweetwater, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Hendrick Medical Center.
Her body was cremated. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A. M., Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Sergio Barrera officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Laura was born on November 27, 1960 in Milford, Connecticut to Dewey and Gail (Whitcomb) Batchelor. She had been a resident of Sweetwater for over twenty years. She was an avid roller derby fan, supporting her daughters and their teammates at every home game. Her heart and her home were always open. She had a smile and a hug for everyone she met. Her hobbies included crocheting, cooking and baking, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Melissa Winslow and Jessica Galindo and husband Adrian, all of Sweetwater, Texas, her mother, Gail Batchelor of Sweetwater, Texas, several cousins, numerous nieces and nephews, and "adopted" children and grandchildren.
