Martha Edna (Bradberry) Scarborough

May 14, 1917 — March 5, 2012

Martha Edna Scarborough, age 94, of Arlington, Texas (Former Resident of Sweetwater, Texas), passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Normandy Avenue Church of Christ with Mike Ensminger officiating. Burial will follow at Slater's Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

She was born on May 14, 1917 on a farm in the Nolan Divide community to Ben and Emmie Bradberry. She married Chester Scarborough on June 27, 1937 in Hilton, Texas. She was a member of the Church of Christ her entire life and attended Lamar Street Church of Christ until its closing and then was a member of Normandy Avenue Church of Christ. She also worked for Walls Industries for many years as a machine operator and was also a beauty operator.

She enjoyed sewing and sitting on the front porch visiting with friends and family, but her favorite pastime would have to be studying her Bible.

She is survived by two children, Linda Fege and husband Chris of Arlington, Texas; and Marvin (Buddy) Scarborough of Arlington, Tx; four grandchildren, JoAnna Wood, Brian Fege, Kim Born, and Tiffany Sanders, six great grandchildren;one great great grandchild, sister, Anna Jones of Sweetwater, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Emmie Bradberry, husband, Thomas Chester Scarborough, son, Arvin (Sonny) Scarborough, three brothers, Travis Bradberry, George Willis (Slim) Bradberry, Bobby Ray Bradberry,and two sisters, Mae Duncan and Ruby Shaffer.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Head, Ricky Head, Chris Duncan, Marvin Prono, Vince Mitchell and Paul Sanders.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Jones, Stanley Jones, S.C. Head, Gene Shaffer, Harry Duncan, Ross Born, Dameon Wood, Randy Bradberry and Kyle Bradberry.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 P.M..
