Marty Dee Clopton

Marty Dee Clopton, age 56, of Rochester, Texas, (Former resident of Roscoe, Texas) passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Hendrick Medical Center North, Abilene, Texas. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Acuna officiating. Burial will follow at Roscoe Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home. 

Marty was born on September 28, 1968 in Austin,Texas to James and Emma Lou (McCown) Clopton. He married Mary Lou Navarrette on April 11, 2000 in Roscoe, Texas. He was a self-employed tree trimmer. He was a Baptist. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Clopton of Rochester, Texas; daughter, Luisa Harrell and husband Joe of Abilene, Texas; son, Tristan Clopton of Rochester, Texas; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Dale Clopton and wife Brenda of Knox City, Texas; sisters, Pam Henson and husband Johnny of Burnet, Texas and Margaret Gardner and husband James of North Carolina. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Emma Lou Clopton; his child, Baby Clopton, two grandchildren, Julie Patocka, and Shaylynn Hilton, and two brothers, Yancy Clopton and Jay Clopton.   

Pallbearers will be Zack Navarrette, Noah Navarrette, Owen Navarrette, Joshua Aaron Hoover, II, Brandon Harrell and Bryan Harrell.
