Marvin was born on March 28,1941 in Colorado City, Texas to W.W. and Wilda Loraine (Rogers) Holman.  He married the love of his life, Fonda Nelms on August 7, 1963. Prior to settling in Sweetwater, he and Fonda lived in several small Texas towns, moving each time only for a better employment opportunity. Once landing in Sweetwater, he worked in a few different places such as Pace Packing Company and The Village Market, both as a butcher, always moving up and working aside and supervising great people that he always considered his friends. He eventually landed at Lone Star Industries where he stayed for many years before retiring. He was a member of 4th and Elm Church of Christ and was also a U.S. Army veteran. Marvin was a loving husband and father, the best of the best. Everything he did, he did for his wife and his daughter, and would do anything for anyone else that might need his help.  The best husband, father, and friend…well, best man on the planet!

He is survived by his wife, Fonda Holman of Sweetwater, Texas, daughter, Heather Cox of Sweetwater, Texas, brother, Donald Holman and wife Mary Ann  of Big Spring, Texas, sister, Sue McGuire and husband Dwayne of Snyder, Texas, sister-in-law, Karen Holman, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
