Mary (Salcido) Rodriguez

Mary Rodriguez, age 89, of Snyder, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

Per her wishes, her body will be cremated.  A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Snyder, Texas.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Mary was born on September 12, 1934 in El Campo, Texas to Pablo and Avelita (Gusman) Salcido.  She married Jesse Rodriguez in 1969.  She was a homemaker and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and was baptized in 1970.  She enjoyed preaching, cooking, gardening and sewing.  She loved being with her spiritual family.  Even during her later years, she learned to zoom so she could keep up with her spiritual routine and Bible meetings.  She was a loyal servant of Jehovah for 53 years.  She took comfort in the words at Rev. 21:3, 4 - "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.  The former things have passed away."  Her family and friends look forward to the day they will see her again.

She is survived by her son, Jesse Rodriguez, Jr. and wife Dianna of Snyder, Texas, grandson, Zak Rodriguez of Snyder, Texas, and niece, Nympha Moctezuma and husband Moses of Wharton, Texas.
