Mary Tommy Mendez

Mary Tommy Mendez, age 62, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

A prayer vigil will be held 6:30 P.M.,  Friday,  May  28, 2021 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel followed by a rosary at 7:00 P.M., recited by Deacon David Mendez.

Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held  10:00 A.M., Saturday,  May 29, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating.  Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Mary was born on October 27, 1958 in Port Lavaca, Texas to Lionel and Andrea (Martin) Mendez.  She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish.

She is survived by daughters, Adrian Mendez of Sweetwater, Texas, Yvette Davidson and husband Tim of Lubbock, Texas, and Audrey Solis of Taylor, Texas, sons, Oliver Solis of Sweetwater, Texas and Dominic Solis and wife Denise of Austin, Texas, grandchildren, Cameron Solis, Landon Hartkopf, Gabby Carrillo, Nicholas Gonzales, Dominique Davidson, Devin Davidson, Colbey Solis, Carley Solis, Cage Solis, Cutter Solis and Noah Solis, mother, Andrea Mendez of Sweetwater, Texas, brothers, Lonnie Mendez and wife Rebecca  and David Mendez and wife Ellie, all of Sweetwater, Texas, and sisters, Dahlia Mendez, Theresa Mendez and Cassandra Mendez, all of Sweetwater, Texas

She was preceded in death by her father, Lionel C. Mendez, husband, Raul Martinez, grandson, Marques Davidson, and sister, Tiffany Mendez.

Pallbearers will be Cameron Solis, Landon Hartkopf,  Colbey Solis, Nicholas Gonzales, Branson Guelker, and John Aaron Dehoys.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Cage Solis, and Cutter Solis.
