Melba L. Wheeler, age 69, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Shannon Hospital in San Angelo, Texas.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 8, 2016 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt McGowen officiating. Burial will follow at Roscoe Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Melba was born on September 27, 1946 in Colorado City, Texas to Smith Thomas (S.T.) Jones and Mary P. (Gibson) Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She married Ranny Gene Wheeler on October 30, 1981 in Sweetwater, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Sweetwater.
She is survived by her husband, Ranny G. Wheeler of Sweetwater, Texas, daughter, Lisa Boehm and husband Jeff of Rockwall, Texas, granddaughter, Rebecca Boehm, sister, Margaret Oler of Wisconsin, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Smith Thomas (S.T.) and Mary P. Jones, and sister, Joyce Brasuell.
