Melisa (Lisa) (Rawlings) Griffith

Melisa (Lisa) Griffith, age 62, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Hendrick Medical Center North.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Michael Harbour officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Melisa was born on May 19, 1961 in Sweetwater, Texas to Johnny and Betty (Foust) Rawlings.  She married Richard Danny Griffith on October 3, 2011 in Snyder, Texas.  She was a homemaker and a Christian.  She loved her family and was so proud of them.  She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two sons, Cliff Forbes and wife Ginny of Sweetwater, Texas, and Toby Forbes and wife Tisha of Sweetwater, Texas, step-daughter, Jayde Tollison of Sweetwater, Texas, grandchildren, Jadyn Forbes, Kaegan Forbes and Trey Forbes, two sisters, Joanna Stevens and husband Randal of Sweetwater, Texas, and Patricia Luevano and husband Daniel of Sweetwater, Texas, sister-in-law, Patricia Reed of Sweetwater, Texas,  several nieces and nephews, special friend and caregiver, Samantha Rios, best friend and partner in crime, Donna K. Sutton Johnson, adoptive sons, Mike and Jake Smith, and her fur baby, MacDog.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Danny Griffith, parents, Johnny and Betty Rawlings, brother, Ricky Reed, and nephew, Chris Reed.
