Mildred Faye Egly, age 92, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Nolan Nursing and Rehab.
Graveside Services will be held 3:00 P.M., on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Garden of Memories with Pastor Jimmy Bennett officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the funeral home from 6:00 -8:00 PM.
Mildred was born on August 21, 1922 in Snyder, Texas, to Robert A. and Bertha (Green) Colclazer. She married Herbert S. Egly in 1951 in Lovington, New Mexico. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Harvest Pentecostal Church. She played music with the Good Old Boys in Sweetwater and Bonnie Workman Band from Aspermont area. She also played with numerous bands in the area.
She is survived by one son, Melvin Egly of Roby, Texas, two daughters, Catherine Smith and husband Harold of Sweetwater, Texas, and Donna Armstrong and husband Bill of Hermleigh, Texas, and Step-Daughter, Carol DiFillipo and husband Pete of Spring Church, PA, grandchildren, Paul Egly, Kevin Egly, Dwane Watts, Michael Hill, James Hill, Ron Egly, April Chadwick, Jordan Smith, and Patrick DiFillipo, great grandchildren, Clayton and Caylee Chadwick , Skyler and Braylee Hill, Avery & Emily Farquhar, Zach and Addy Schulze, and Adrianna DiFillipo,
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert S. Egly in 1985, parents, Robert and Bertha Colclazer, brother, R. V. Colclazer, sisters,, Opal Wenetschlaeger, and Velma Greer, granddaughters , Joni Watts and Bethany Egly and great granddaugher, Allison Chadwick.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
