Myrl Frazier, age 77, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Merkel Nursing Center.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 26 , 2014 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Clay Jacobson officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Myrl was born on December 29, 1936 in Coke County, Texas to Wilson and Helen (Tait) Fullwood. She married Pat B. Frazier on Feb. 2, 1953 in Sweetwater, Texas. She worked as the director of nurses at Roscoe Nursing Home, and also worked for Simmons Hospital, and Rolling Plains Home Health.
She is survived by two daughters, Patsy Pugh, and husband Floyd, and Iris Watson and husband James, all of Sweetwater, Texas; five grandchildren, Kelly Hartman, Brooks Whisenant, Laurie Hartman, Brandon Watson, and Patrick Watson, seven great grandchildren, Seth Claxton, Cade Mc Vay, Morgan Watson, Matthew Hewett, Darrin Watson, Whitney Whisenant, and Kenzie Whisenant, two brothers, James Fullwood of Roscoe, Texas and Charles Fullwood of Clifton, Virginia, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Helen Fullwood, husband, Pat Frazier, two sisters, Marjorie Ann Tollison, and Shirley Pendergrass, and grandson, Wesley Whisenant.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at the Merkel Nursing Center for taking such good care of Myrl, and also a special thanks to Dr. Larry McEachern and Cheryl Kelley.
