Ordean Archer, age 80, of Protection, Kansas, died Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, Kansas.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, June 6, 2016 at Cate-Spencer and Trent Funeral Home Chapel  with Rev. Keith Clower officiating.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.

She was born February 16, 1936 at Quanah, Texas, the daughter of Robert Ezekiel and Mandy (Morris) Bailey.  A Protection resident since February 2004, moving from Lubbock, she was a homemaker.  She enjoyed reading, cooking and singing.

On June 17, 1962 she married RC Archer at Coleman, Texas.  He preceded her in death on July 24, 1995.

Survivors include: 3 sons, Joe Nava and Ricky Nava both of Sweetwater, Texas  and David Archer of  Abilene, Texas; 2 daughters, Linda Bewley and husband Robert of Dodge City, Kansas and Peggy Archer and husband Terry Upshaw of  Arcadia, Florida; son-in-law, Mike Bredemeyer of Levelland, Texas,  2 brothers, Archie James Bailey of Roby, Texas and William D. Bailey of  Snyder, Texas; 2 sisters, Rachel Mae Rolley and husband Eddie Joe of  Sweetwater, Texas  and Cynthia Marie Jones and husband Gary of Lubbock, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Micah Parsons and husband John, Greg Bredemeyer, Staci Nelson and husband Chris, Ryan Bewley and wife Emily, Tisha Bewley, Nathan Bewley,  Megan Upshaw and Chance Upshaw; and 5 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Betty Bredemeyer, 2 brothers, Orville Lee Bailey and Marvin Doyle Bailey, 3 sisters, Francis Shar,  Louise Funderburg and Oleta Fay Young and a grandson, Mason Upshaw.
