Pat (Murray) Lanier

Pat Lanier, age 79, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 in Abilene, Texas.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 P.M, Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Mac Sipe officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Pat was born on November 5, 1940 to Frank and Leola Marie (Needles) Murray. She was a l958 Newman High School graduate of Sweetwater. She worked for Flintkote and Domtar for thirty two years and also for Kelly Moore Paint Co. for thirty years before retiring. When she retired, she opened Lanier Kennels which was her passion of working with animals. Everyone and their dog loved boarding with Grandma Pat. She raised thousands of special dogs that enhanced the lives of so many. She enjoyed being at the ballpark or at the bingo hall.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Hendley and Andy Brown of Abilene, Texas, Scott & Gretchen Hendley, two grandchildren, Shay Sipe and husband Chad, Sloan Hendley and Martina Graner, two great grandchildren, Hays and Swade and so many very special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Leola Murray.
