Patricia Ann (Gee) Ellis

Patricia Ann Ellis, age 78, of Midland, Texas (Former resident of Sweetwater, Texas), passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011 after a lengthy illness.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Garden of Memories, Sweetwater, Texas with Pastor Billy Raies officating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Patricia was born on March 23, 1933 in Francis, Oklahoma to Cyril and Opal Gee. She married Wayne O. Ellis on July 31, 1954 in Burkburnett, Texas. She and Wayne moved to Sweetwater in 1961 and were long time residents of Sweetwater where she taught in the Sweetwater Independent School District for many years before retiring and moving to Midland.

Patricia was so deeply loved by her family and friends. Her love for and faith in God through Jesus Christ inundated her life and is a treasure cherished by each who knew her.

She is survived by her brother, Dr. Donald Gee and wife Jill of Graham, Texas; two sister-in-laws, Jan Gee of Shawnee, Oklahoma and June Hunt of Poplarville, Mississippi; two sons, Michael W. Ellis and wife Ginger of Belton, Texas; and Patrick Ellis and wife Lori of Midland, Texas; and daughter, Mary Ann Reeves of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Brenna Rylee; Sarah Roberts; Kris Ellis; Kayce Street; Elizabeth Albers and Jason Albers; and great grandchildren; Elle, Ian Trystin and Olivia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril and Opal Gee; husband, Wayne O. Ellis, brother, Jerry Gee and son-in-law, Mike Reeves.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 6:00-7:30 P.M.
